The public is invited to an evening of free entertainment with the “Fun After Fifty Prom.”
Teresa Green is with the Greene County High School Interact Club and says the event traditionally happens the night before the high school prom. It’s a way for the public to see the decorations and to give back to the community for their support.
She talks about why it is called “Fun After Fifty Prom.”
“We couldn’t think of a fun name and we kind of thought, senior prom and then we kind of come up with ‘Fun After Fifty Prom.’ So, we think that you can still have fun after (turning) 50 years-old.”
The theme for this year’s Greene County High School prom is the “Roaring 20’s.” Musical entertainment will be provided by the Old Timer’s Band.
Green encourages everyone to come to the Jefferson Elks Lodge from 7-10pm on Friday, April 10th.
