With the chance of severe weather this week, the region may be put under weather watches and warnings. Adair and Guthrie County Emergency Management Coordinator Bob Kempf says it’s important to be aware of watches and warnings and also know the difference between them. “The watch indicates that there’s the potential for it in the area. Watches can be from several hours long, to a couple hours long or even just a half hour ahead of a storm if it changes direction. Warnings are where there’s a significant danger present or it’s imminent that it’s going to happen in that area.”
