A tight, hard-fought contest between the ADM and Creston girls golf team narrowly went by way of the Panthers, as they beat the Tigers by just four strokes, 206-210, Friday evening in Creston.
The Panthers edged ADM in large part because of top performances from a pair of juniors. Madison Hance medaled by shooting a 49, and Camryn Somers was right behind her with a 50.
The Tigers four scorers were Lexi Owen and Nikki Bever, who tied for 3rd with a 51, and Taylor Born and Lindsey Lange, who tied for 5th with a 54. Tania Teleford and Bailey Danner finished tied for 6th with a 59.
ADM has its first triangular of the season on Monday in Carlisle against the host Wildcats and Winterset.
