The Greene County girls placed first and the boys were third at Monday’s Carroll Coed Relays held at the Carroll Athletic Field under very favorable weather conditions. Northwest winds died down and temperatures were in the middle 60’s at the start and upper 50’s at the end of the four-hour meet.

The Rams had 177 points to 99 from second place Maple Valley Anthon-Oto. The IKM-Manning girls were third at 87 with 65 by Perry, 54 for both Audubon and Carroll, and 52 points by Woodward-Granger.

Carroll took the boys’ title with 131 points and IKM-Manning was next with 124. Greene County had 93 points with 64 from Audubon, 59 for Perry, 40 for W-G, 36 by MVAO, and 11 points from Glidden-Ralston.

Greene County girls first place events: long jump- Emma Saddoris, 15′ 11″; discus throw- Hannah Onken, 109′ 10″; 200 meter dash- Olivia Hansen, :27.57; 100 meter hurdles- Eme Johnson, :16.09; shuttle hurdle relay, 1:09.09 (Mollie Sorber, Nadia Fisher, Sarah Sandage, Johnson); Sprint Medley relay, 1:58.51 (Sorber, Saddoris, Emily Christensen, Hansen); 4 x 100 :53.33 (Sorber, Saddoris, Christensen, Hansen); 4 x 200 1:51.95 (Hannah Stein, Saddoris, Christensen, Hansen).

Greene Co. girls second place events: shot put- Onken, 33′ 1/2″; 400 meter hurdles- Johnson, 1:09.27; 100 meter dash- Christensen, :13.68; 3,000 meter run- Haley Hall, 12:33.20; Distance medley relay- 4:55.10 (Sorber, Megan Durbin, Kayla Kuhl, Lauren Carlson); 4 x 400- 4:32.37 (Stein, Chantel Flack, Kuhl, Johnson).

Greene Co. boys’ first place events: shot put- Alex Rasmussen, 46′ 8-3/4″; discus throw- Rasmussen, 141′ 1″; 400 meter low hurdles- Daric Whipple, :57.76.

Greene Co. boys’ second place events: 4 x 100 meter relay- :45.22 (Dylan McConnell, Dalton Weber, Dylan Hamilton, Max Neese); shuttle hurdle relay- 1:03.01 (McConnell, Joe Doran, Whipple, Tyler Beger); 100 meter dash- Neese, :11.46; 200 meter dash- Neese, :23.46.
