The Greene County ISU Extension office wants to remind all 4-H’ers of a few programs and deadlines coming up this month.
Coordinator Lori Mannel says the 4-H Dog Project meeting will be at the Extension office in Jefferson on Sunday, April 19th at 2pm. The group will discuss upcoming sessions along with the dog project rules. No animals are allowed at the meeting.
The deadline to sign up for the Region 12 Livestock Showmanship and Grooming Clinic is by the end of the day today. The event will include information about fitting, showing and proper nutrition for livestock. The animals that will be covered are beef, sheep, goat, swine, rabbits and poultry. It will be on Sunday, April 26th from 2-4pm at the Audubon County Fairgrounds. The cost to participate is $10 and to register, contact the Carroll County Extension office at 712-792-2364.
The final 4-H reminder is about the final indoor horse session that is being offered on Saturday, April 25th at 10am at the Extension office. Any 4-H and FFA’er planning to show horses at this year’s county fair, must attend one indoor session. All outdoor sessions will begin in May.
