The one-man Guthrie Center Police Department will be supplemented with part-time help until the force is back to full strength. Police Chief Rod Pavelka told the City Council Monday night that he had a rotation of several part-timers to go to for assistance. The City Council told Pavelka that if possible, they would like to see his schedule unchanged, despite the understaffed department.
