Coach Dean Lansman sends his Greene County High School boys track and field squad to Carroll today for the Tiger-Knight Relays at Carroll Athletic Field. The Carroll Tigers and Kuemper Catholic Knights share hosting duties. It is a coed meet, but the Rams will have only their boys’ team entered. Others in the field include Council Bluffs Abraham Lincoln, Atlantic, Boone, Denison-Schleswig, and Harlan.

On Friday, Greene County will have three events (two girls, one boys) competing at the Drake Relays in Des Moines. Senior Eme Johnson will be in Friday’s 100 meter hurdles preliminaries at 8 a.m. Only eight of the 32 runners will advance from the prelims to the finals, which are at 11:46 a.m. Friday. The Rams will also have both 4 x 100 meter relay units run on Friday. There are 80 girls 4 x 100 teams and 80 boys 4 x 100 teams in the prelims with the eight fastest advancing to the final on Saturday afternoon. Girls’ prelims on Friday start at 5:10 p.m. and the boys start at 6 p.m.
