Although the State Legislature is past its projected May 1st date for adjournment, State Representative Clel Baudler’s bill to strengthen penalties for the use and distribution of synthetic marijuana still hasn’t hit the floor of the Senate. Now working without pay, Baudler says there are some senators who want to weaken the language of his bill and admits that for the time being the bill is at their mercy. “It’s going to be in their ballpark, right now and in the future if they want to screw with it a little bit.”  The bill has previously passed unanimously in the state House and a Senate subcommittee.

Baudler will be our guest tomorrow on Let’s Talk Guthrie County to talk more about his bill and the other issues still ongoing at the State Capitol. It airs during the 9 a.m., noon and 5 p.m. hours on K107.9 and www.raccoonvalleyradio.com
