The Greene County Medical Center invites everyone to its first DAISY Award ceremony for 2015 later this week.

The award recognizes extraordinary nurses who give exceptional patient care.  Nominations for the award were made by anyone in the community including patients and their families, co-workers and community members.

There are seven nominees for the first award of 2015.  The nominees include Janelle Cates in acute care, Lori Harrah in Long Term Care, Brenda Luther in the surgery department, Desiree Monaghan with quality management, Heather Shipley in surgery, Ardean Vannatta with Long Term Care and Heather Wilson in Advanced Women’s Care.

The ceremony will be in the Long Term Care activity room at 10:30am on Wednesday, May 6th.
