The public is invited this weekend to the annual Greene County Medical Center Auxiliary Garage Sale.

Coordinator Hollie Roberts says the garage sale will take place Friday from 9am to 6pm and Saturday from 9 to 11am at Clover Hall on the Greene County Fairgrounds with no admission charge.  She points out that there is a “sneak peek” of the items on Thursday from 5 to 7pm with a $3 admission charge.

People can choose from a wide range of items such as clothing, dishware, appliances, children items and furniture.  Roberts notes that today is the last day for people to drop off items they want to donate to the garage sale.  She says they won’t accept electronics, televisions or computers and any other item must be clean and useable.  Donations can be made between 9am and 6pm today at Clover Hall.

Roberts talks about the gracious response from the community for their annual fundraiser.

“We have a lot of wonderful donations.  People are very supportive because they’ve done it year, after year, after year.  And then on the buying side of it, we certainly have a great response from the public to come in and look over the items and decide what they’d like to have.”

Last year, the Auxiliary made $2,000 and are hoping to get more this year.

All proceeds will go back to the Auxiliary for purchases for the medical center.
