The Guthrie County Sheriff’s Office will be taking part in the Governor’s Traffic Safety Bureau’s ‘Click It or Ticket’ program later this month. Deputy Michael Herbert says they’ll especially be looking for seatbelt violations during evening hours, when people are less likely to be wearing them. Approximately half of motorists killed on roadways are not wearing their seatbelts. The biggest offenders are teenage males. The special enforcement takes place May 18-31.
