The Perry girls set a number of personal best times and throws last night at the 3A state qualifying meet in Norwalk as the Jayettes wait word on whether the times will be good enough to qualify for one of the eight at large berths for the state tournament.
The Perry 4×800 meter relay appears to have the best shot at qualifying finishing in a time of 10:15.85. Emma Olejniczak, Breanna Peneger, Mariah Duffy and Sidney Vancil all ran strong legs. The other possible state option could fall in at the 800 meters where Olejniczak finished 3rd with a personal best 2:30.74.
Perry finished 5th out of the 8 team field with 57 points. Click on the link below for complete results of last night’s meet.
