Raccoon Valley Radio awarded the second of our two Business and Broadcasting Scholarships to an Adel DeSoto Minburn High School senior Tuesday.

Brody Boston of Dallas Center received a $250 scholarship to assist with his future plans to attend Iowa Western Community College in the fall.

Boston plans to study business administration and finance, while also competing on the college’s golf team with hopes of potentially golfing for a Division 1 school while finishing his education.

Boston got his first taste of business at the age of 15 when he purchased a Tropical Sno stand.  He has since been able to operate and manage the business debt free, increasing his interest in being an entrepreneur.  In addition, while in high school Boston was also involved in several activities including the National Honor Society, homecoming court, Students Against Destructive Decisions and Meals for the Heartland.
