As previously reported, the West Central Valley boys soccer team received a first round bye in the playoffs. In the second round they’ll have the luxury of playing at home and they’ll face either a Nodaway Valley team that they’ve already beaten or a Chariton team, which currently has a 4-8 record. West Central Valley boys soccer head coach Jon Boss says he likes the draw. “We kind of got fortunate with how they set the bracket up. We’ll take what we have and hopefully go into that second round game hopefully ready to take on the Chariton/Nodaway Valley winner.”
The Wildcats have their final home game of the season tomorrow night at Avoca and then will play the second round playoff game next Thursday, May 28th, at 6 p.m. in Stuart.
