Registration is now open for this year’s summer reading program at the Perry Public Library.
This year’s theme is Every Hero Has a Story and it celebrates both famous fictional superheroes and everyday heroes.
Children’s librarian Suzanne Kestel says she’s really looking forward to this year’s program.
“I am very, very, very excited and what’s kind of neat this year is the teens and adults (and children) we’re all doing the same thing. There has been kind of broad theme before but we’ve each had kind of a separate byline you’d say, but this year we’re all embracing the same one. So we are all about superheroes and super powers this summer.”
There’s a program available for anyone ranging from newborns in the Wee Wonders program to the adult reading program.
