Just three days after the ADM boys golf team punched its ticket to the state tournament, head coach Chris Goodale’s girls golfers followed suit Tuesday at a Class 4A regional at Westwood Golf Course in Newton.

ADM took second with a 396, behind first-place Newton’s 385, as both advance to next week’s state tournament.

Senior Lexi Owen lead the way for the Tigers with a fourth-place 90, which would have been good enough to qualify for state as an individual. Taylor Boorn was next at 94, followed by Nikki Bever at 103 and Lindsey Lange at 109.

Non-scoring golfers for the Tigers included Tania Teleford at 112 and Bailey Danner at 134.

ADM girls golf will make its way to American Legion Golf Course in Marshalltown next Monday and Tuesday for the state tournament.
