It was a happy ending in Perry this evening after the public helped the Perry Police and Volunteer Fire Departments find a young girl that was missing for nearly 6 hours.

According to the Perry Police Department the 11 year-old female was last seen leaving her home on a purple bicycle around 3:45pm Wednesday.  Firefighters, police officers and the public searched for hours and helped locate the child around 9:30pm.  She was returned home safely.

Police thank the community for their assistance.
