Instead of opening the 2015 high school baseball season in Jefferson the Greene County Rams will try to get the season underway tonight on the road. The Rams and PCM were postponed by rain on Tuesday and that action is scheduled to be made up at Allensworth Field in Jefferson tomorrow (May 28) around 7:15 p.m. on KG98.

Coach Mark Sawhill’s Rams get on the bus and head to Colfax to play Colfax-Mingo tonight. Both the Tigerhawks and Rams were below the .500 mark last season, but Greene County went 8-4 in the second half of the season to finish 11-15. Seniors Colton Fitzpatrick and Riah Nelsen are expected to lead the pitching staff. Senior Alex Rasmussen at .325 and junior Daric Whipple (.303) are the only returning .300 or better hitters returning from last season for the Rams.
