Marshal EstabrookA Des Moines man was recently sentenced in Greene County court on burglary charges.

County Attorney Nick Martino says 38 year-old Marshal Estabrook was sentenced to three years of probation after pleading guilty to a Class D Felony for two counts of third degree burglary and an aggravated misdemeanor for possession of burglar’s tools.  He was also ordered to pay court costs and attorney fees.

The charges stem from an incident at Shelter Stor-All in Jefferson on Saturday, February 14th.  At 8:39pm, an officer saw suspicious activity at the storage facility.  When the officer arrived on scene, he noticed two individuals in a van closing the door to a storage unit that didn’t have a padlock on it and was later determined that it had been cut off.  The officer also discovered burglar’s tools when he searched the vehicle.

A second suspect, 48 year-old Mark Jackson also from Des Moines is charged with the same charges as Estabrook and is awaiting his hearing date.
