Dallas County Board of Supervisors Meeting Preview
The Dallas County Board of Supervisors will meet twice this week.
The first gathering takes place Monday at 8:15am when they will interview County Engineer candidates. As previously reported, current Engineer Jim George will retire this summer.
Items on the regular meeting agenda for Tuesday include setting public hearing dates for a revised reuse plan of revolving loan fund and transfer to the Greater Dallas County Development Alliance and a cardiac monitors purchase for the Emergency Medical Services department.
The Board will then review a hardware maintenance agreement, continue a public hearing in regards to the lawn mowers lease for the Conservation department, consider change orders and a pay application for the human services campus renovation project, along with a security camera proposal.
The Supervisors may then go into a closed session to discuss confidential records.
Tuesday’s meeting starts at 9am and both take place in the Board of Supervisors meeting room in Adel.
Perry School Board Meeting Preview
The Perry Community School District Board of Education will hold their June meeting Monday.
Items on the agenda include disposal of the old band uniforms, an update on The Grow project and a legislative session update.
The Board will then consider approving recognition of the Gay Straight Alliance club as a school affiliated student group, renew a contract with 21st Century Rehab for sports medicine services for the upcoming school year and approve revisions to board policies.
The support staff roster will then be considered for approval, along with the Special Education Service delivery plan, participation in the School Administrators of Iowa mentoring and induction program and personnel changes.
The meeting takes place in the Brady Library at Perry High School at 6pm.
