This year’s theme for Stuart’s Good Egg Days has been announced. The organizing committee has chosen  “Skating into the Future” as the theme. It celebrates the historical importance of the skating rink at the recreation center, to the city. An open house will take place during Good Egg Days on Saturday, June 20th from 1 to 4 p.m. for guests to look at the new skates and equipment donated to the recreation center. Good Egg Days takes place June 19th-21st.

The Stuart City Council will meet tomorrow night. They will hear a presentation from Midwest Partnership CEO Sarah Gomez and receive a letter of resignation from Stuart Rescue EMT Kelly Surber. Surber and his wife just had their youngest child graduate high school and are now moving to Arkansas. Other items of discussion include cemetery rules, the downtown facade project and street lighting. The meeting begins at 6:30 inside of Stuart City Hall.
