The Adel City Council will meet in regular session tonight.
Items on the agenda include two public hearings in regards to the 2015-2016 Capital Improvement Plan and authorizing the sale of the City’s old fire truck.
The Council will then hear an update on the new City website project, consider purchasing a new patrol vehicle for the police department, discuss the possibility of paving a section of Meadow Road near the Adel Family Aquatic Center and discuss the option to purchase a ten acre parcel of land west of the aquatic center.
Next the Council is expected to approve the first reading of three ordinance amendments in regards to water, sewer and garbage use charges, approve fiscal year 2016 non-union City employee wages and set fees for City services.
The five year Capital Improvement Plan will then be considered for approval, along with the sale of the old fire truck, a land use plan proposal from Confluence, a change order for the Main Street Façade Rehabilitation project and a special event permit for the Adel Sweet Corn Festival.
The Council will then consider waiving sound permit and shelter rental fees for an event on June 12th, approve appointments to the Economic Development, Historic Preservation Cable Television and Planning and Zoning commissions and setting a public hearing in regards to the status of federal funding for the Adel Storefront Façade Improvements Project.
The meeting takes place at 6pm at the Adel City Hall.
