
Those wanting to learn the skills needed to be a responsible babysitter are encouraged to register for a clinic this week in Perry.
The Dallas County Iowa State University Extension and Outreach office is hosting their popular Babysitting Clinic at the Town/Craft Center Wednesday and Thursday.
The two-day workshop is for youth in fifth grade or older. It will touch on essential child care skills such as first aid, safety, nutrition and age appropriate activities. Local Emergency Medical Technicians will also be there to teach CPR and law enforcement officials will talk about how to handle emergencies.
The class goes from 9am until noon both days and the cost to participate is $10.
