The Raccoon River Conference Champions and state qualifying Perry Bluejays led the way with 8 All-Conference selections released Monday by the Perry Activities Department.  First team selections included goal keeper Jorge Soto, forward Jesus Rodriguez and junior Ian Velasco.  Soto allowed only 5 goals all season prior to the state tournament while the sophomore Rodriguez led Perry with 20 goals this year.  Velasco had his season cut short when he sustained a serious knee injury in the win against ADM.

2nd Team honorees include Cameron Martinez, David Cardenas, Oscar Chavez and Ivan Garcia.  Panorama student-athlete Zac Stetzel was an Honorable Mention selection for the Bluejays.

Perry Head Coach Gary Overla earned RRC Coach of the year honors.

Perry qualified for the state tournament for the second straight year losing to Central Clinton Dewitt 2-1 in the quarterfinal round last week.
