The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch for several counties in southwest and south central Iowa, including Adair County, set to expire at 9 p.m. Thursday night. The watch includes a 50% chance of multiple tornadoes, a 50% chance of of severe wind events and an 80% chance of hail and wind events. Other affected counties include Clarke, Ringgold, Decatur, Union, Madison, Adams, Cass and Taylor. If conditions worsen and the watch is upgraded to a warning, tune in to the Raccoon Valley Radio Network’s Severe Weather Action Team coverage until the storms pass.
