Dallas County Hospital is being recognized for excellence by the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA).

The local hospital is one of just seven hospitals, seven healthcare systems and four physician groups to receive the High Performance in Revenue Cycle, and the only one in Iowa.

The MAP award recognizes healthcare organizations that excel across a number of indicators such as accounts receivable, operating margin and point of service collections. Dallas County Hospital was selected for the honor based on their high patient satisfaction scores for patient access and enhanced price transparency initiatives.

The award will be formally presented at the HFMA’s National Institute in Orlando, Florida next week.
