A deputy and the Churdan Fire and Rescue were dispatched to a vehicle fire on 110th Street, just west of I Avenue. After the deputy’s investigation, it appears that the car was intentionally set on fire after most of the interior was stripped from the vehicle. The fire is under investigation by the Sheriff’s office at this time.
A deputy was advised of the possible theft of a garbage dumpster from the bus barn in Grand Junction. The deputy was soon advised that he could disregard, as the dumpster was borrowed by the city.
A deputy was asked to pick up a stray cat from a residence in the 2400 block of U Avenue.
A deputy was dispatched to the Casey’s General Store in Scranton to check the welfare of a male subject that was sleeping in his vehicle. The driver did leave the station before the deputy’s arrival, but the deputy did speak with the male at his residence.
A deputy was dispatched for the report of a dog running at large west of Jefferson on Highway 30. The dog was not located by the deputy.
A deputy while on routine patrol discovered criminal mischief to a road sign in Scranton.
A deputy was advised of five youth loitering in the Catholic Cemetery in Grand Junction. The deputy determined the identity of the youth for future reference.
In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
