Two of the Guthrie Center softball team’s three best hitters this season are 8th graders. The third is a freshman. Head coach Tim O’Brien says he’s impressed by the young trio. “Genevieve Hoover and Savana Fuller have had good seasons up until this point. Emily Pavelka, another freshman has done a nice job at shortstop. I knew Emily was a good player but I’ve never coached her. She does a nice job with softball. It’s definitely her sport.”
The lady tigers are scheduled to be back on the diamond tonight, at home against Madrid. First pitch scheduled for 6 p.m.
