Greene County 4-H Clubs recently received additional funding from the NEW Cooperative Foundation.

The charitable division of NEW Cooperative, Incorporated donated $30,000 to each youth that’s in 4-H in each of its territories including Greene, Webster, Calhoun, Carroll, Franklin, Sac, Pocahontas, Humboldt, Hamilton, Kossuth and Wright counties.

Greene County Extension 4-H and Youth Coordinator Sarah Jo Reynolds says their 12 clubs in the County received $3,060 or $12 per youth in their 4-H program.  She adds that the additional funding from NEW Cooperative allows each club to develop its own programs such as community service projects and purchasing supplies for club members that will enhance their meetings.
