As we’ve reported, Perry’s City Administrator will retire after 35 years of service to the City at the end of the month.

Butch Niebuhr’s last day on the job is Tuesday, June 30th and a retirement reception has been set for this Friday.

Bob Wilson with the Perry Area Chamber of Commerce says the Chamber and the Perry community have been lucky to have Niebuhr’s support for the past several decades.

“Butch has been such a progressive City Administrator and a great person to work with from the Chamber standpoint as well in always supporting all things chamber, so we couldn’t ask for anything more.  He’s a great volunteer too, he and his wife Denise have always been there to help us out.  So stop in, share a story, have fun and reminisce, and congratulate him on all the hard work and all the great things that he’s done.”

Friday’s event will take place from 1-4:30pm at the Town/Craft building, everyone is invited to attend.
