In honor of Alzheimer’s and Brain Awareness month, and their wife and mother, two local residents are hosting a special fundraising event later this month to help find support those living with and around Alzheimer’s disease.
Heather Nevitt lost her mother to the disease in 2013 and since the initial diagnosis she has passionately been raising money for the Alzheimer’s Association. She invites everyone to join her at the Perry Golf and Country Club on Saturday, June 27th.
“We’ll be doing some private auctions, as well as some fun entertainment with some karaoke and dancing, and a DJ. So it should be a lot of fun, and it’s just a good way to go out and raise awareness and raise money to help find a cure.”
Entry into the event is $20 per person and it starts at 7:30pm. We’ll have more with Heather and her dad Bob Nevitt on today’s Let’s Talk Dallas County during the 9am, noon and 5pm hours on AM 1310 KDLS.
