The weather is expected to be better this week and hopefully the turnout will be as well for this week’s Perry farmers’ market and Thursday Night on the Town.
A handful of vendors set up at the Perry marketplace last Thursday, offering a variety of fresh produce and baked goods but there should be even more to offer tonight.
Bob Wilson with the Perry Area Chamber of Commerce says this is just one fixture that people can take advantage of Thursday evenings.
“What we’re trying to do with the Chamber is make Thursday night the night for you to get out and about. La Poste has an amazing Handle Bar Happy Hour for those of you that are of drinking age. Rhonda Olson is down there with her popcorn stand. The library is always open. There’s just tons of stuff going on, and that’s the night to go out and about. Celebrate it, it’s a great time of the year. GEPS is right across the street from the farmers market, Mo’s Gyros are right there, which is an amazing Greek food restaurant. As well as just the parks and the trails that are all accessible.”
The Young Professionals of Perry will be kicking off their monthly Third Thursday Social event at the farmers’ market this evening, which runs from 4-7pm, followed by a gathering at La Poste. All area adults are welcome to attend.
