The ADM baseball team took out its pent-up frustration from their recent offensive slump on Ballard pitching Thursday night in Adel, pummeling the Bombers 11-1 to win via run rule in five innings.

The Tigers (7-9, 2-5 RRC) pounded out nine hits and took advantage of five Ballard errors to make a winner of Chase Eddie, who allowed just one run on one hit in five innings. ADM had scored one run in each of its past three games, going 1-2 in that span, and came into the game near the bottom of the conference in nearly every major offensive category, averaging just over three runs per game.

On Thursday, the Tigers broke their slump by setting a season-high in runs, snapping a two-game losing streak overall and a five game skid against conference opponents.

ADM jumped all over Bombers starter Quinton Erickson, who lasted just 1 2/3 innings. Eddie (2-1) blasted his second homer with one out in the first, a two-run shot off the foul pole in left. The Tigers added three more runs in the second on run-scoring hits from Joe Sloss and Logan Lemke and a Ballard error.

Sloss finished 3-for-4 with two doubles, two runs scored and two driven in, while his brother Joe picked up a pair of singles, drove in one and scored twice. Every Tigers starter reached base at least one.

Ballard (4-10, 0-5 RRC) burned through four pitchers, capped by senior Nathan Carlin, who walked in a run in the fifth. Jake Sloss then singled in two more runs for sophomore Sam McCartney, who ended the game and picked up his first career varsity hit with a bloop single to right that brought home Colin Gavin.

The Tigers travel to Carlisle tonight for another conference game.
