June has been a wet month so far, so much so that one of our local weather reporting areas has already surpassed normal monthly precipitation levels, with a week and a half left to go.
According to the National Weather Service, Guthrie Center received almost 4 inches of rain this week for a total of 5.17 inches so far this month. That’s one-hundredth of an inch more than the normal monthly rain amount in June.
Perry saw more than 3.6 inches of rain since our last report for a total of more than 4.5 inches. Jefferson added 2.8 inches to their total this week, for 3.7 inches so far.
More rain is possible tomorrow and Sunday evening.
