Perry Falls to Saydel in Non-Conference Baseball

The Saydel Eagles put up double digit runs and hits Thursday night as the visitors from Des Moines defeated Perry 11-8 in non conference action.  The two teams exploded for 9 runs in the 4th inning with Perry taking a brief 6-5 lead.  However, Saydel responded with five more runs in the 5th inning to take the lead for good.  The Eagles outhit Perry 10 to 4 and took advantage of 4 more Perry errors.  Zach Roberts led the Perry offense with 2 hits and Kyle Nevitt provided the only extra base hit smacking his 4th double of the season.  Nevitt started and went 4 1/3 innings giving up 7 hits and 7 runs while Alex Long took the loss pitching the final 2 innings of relief.
