A solo recording artist is coming back to the Prairie Blue Creative Arts in Jefferson tomorrow.

Phil Lee is a roots musician from North Carolina and is on tour for his fifth solo album, “Some Gotta Lose.”  He will be performing songs from his new album that feature some rhythm and blues, rock and roll and country influenced tunes.  Lee says his album also has a nod to “Lil Liza Jane” and a cover of “Kiss of Fire.”

Prairie Blue Creative Arts is on the west side of the downtown square in Jefferson.  The concert will be on Saturday, June 20th at 8pm with the doors to open at 7:30.  Admission is a free-will donation, which owner Nicole Friess-Schilling says helps support each performer.  She states that people can bring their own beverages and food to the concert and there’s a “house jar” available for those to make donations to support Prairie Blue, but that they want people to support the artist first.

Lee says he’s happy to be coming back to Prairie Blue and that he has a soft spot for Iowans when he’s on tour.
