Hundreds gathered at Pattee Park for a beautiful end to the week at the Perry Area Chamber of Commerce’s first Friday Fest of the summer.

Community members set up their own chairs and blankets in the lawn, or took advantage of the park’s picnic tables and bleachers as they enjoyed the free concert from Glovebox Whiskey.  Several vendors were set up offering a variety of food items including barbecue, gyros, tacos, sno cones and funnel cakes.  A casual bean bags tournament was also set up along one side of the stage, with plans to further organize an adult competition at the next event. Children could be found enjoying the free inflatables, dancing with their friends or racing across the lawn.

The next Friday Fest takes place July 17th, featuring music from the popular Iowa band, The Nadas.  Anyone who would like to be a vendor or support the sponsor driven event is encouraged to contact the Chamber at 465-4601.
