The Dallas County Fair officially kicks off today and there are plenty of entertainment options throughout the week.

Admission to the fair is free thanks to daily gate sponsors.  Today’s events kick off early with sheep and goat check-ins starting at 7am.  The trail horse show will start at 7:30am, followed by the performance horse show at 10:00.  The official flag raising ceremony takes place at 5:30pm, followed by the carnival opening at 6, static exhibits on display until 8pm, the 4-H Foundation silent auction kick off and the coronation of this year’s fair queen at 7pm.
