Abby Badger is a candidate for this year’s Greene County Fair Queen.
She is from Bagley and is the daughter of Brent and Jen Badger. She will be a junior at Greene County High School this fall. Badger is in her seventh year with 4-H and is with the Greenbrier Club. She is also involved in cheerleading, 4-H and FFA, choir, competitive dance and the high school’s Interact Club.
She has previously entered several exhibits such as food and nutrition, child development, home improvement and communication. She has won numerous livestock awards for market and breeding beef and has also won junior, intermediate and senior showmanship for both cattle and hogs. This year, she will be showing a steer, breeding gilts and market barrows along with a food and nutrition exhibit.
Badger says she’s excited to be a fair queen candidate and explains why she is running.
“I would love to be the Greene County Fair Queen and to help our County get more involved in the state and just like help our 4-H in our County keep growing and just help our community get more involved.”
The queen coronation ceremony will be held at Clover Hall on the fairgrounds in Jefferson at 6:30pm tomorrow.
