A Carroll woman faces charges after suffering injuries from a three vehicle accident in June in Greene County.
Iowa State Patrol Trooper Kevin Leffler tells Raccoon Valley Radio that 58 year-old Patricia Peters is charged with a misdemeanor for driving on the wrong side of a two-lane highway.
The charge stems from an accident on June 16th when Peters was heading east on US Highway 30, near mile marker 111, when her 2008 Chevrolet Impala crossed the centerline and hit a westbound 2014 Peterbuilt semi truck that was driven by 52 year-old William Moffett of Crane, Missouri. The collision caused a third vehicle, that was behind the Impala, and driven by 27 year-old Paul Daggett of Minburn to swerve his 2001 Chevrolet Tahoe into the north ditch and roll the SUV. Everyone was wearing their seatbelts at the time of the accident.
Peters suffered a broken left ankle and arm from the accident and had to be taken to Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines from Greene County Medical Center. Leffler says she is now at St. Anthony’s Regional Hospital in stable condition.
