The Greene County baseball team plays its last home game of the season tonight at Allensworth Field in Jefferson and it will also mark the last time the seniors play in front of the home crowd. South Central Calhoun (Lake City) is the opponent in non-conference play with KG98 carrying the varsity game at approximately 7:15 p.m.

The Rams are 17-10 overall and have clinched the program’s first winning season since 2008. The six seniors, all starters, are a major reason for the Rams’ success. The seniors are Jordan Challen, Colton Fitzpatrick, Jordan Hostetler, Dylan McConnell, Riah Nelsen, and Alex Rasmussen.

Greene County will play at 3 p.m. on Friday, July 10 (tomorrow) at Nevada in a make up game from June 24 to close out the regular season. There will be no JV game.

The Rams open Class 3A District 16 tournament play on Friday, July 17 in Carroll at 5 p.m. vs. Atlantic.
