IMG_2442In addition to being able to share emergency notifications with our listeners, the new FM translator for 99.7 also helps better serve our Raccoon Valley Radio advertising clients.

General Manager John McGee says it all goes back to the company’s mission statement.

“It’s to get our advertising clients more results than anyone else can.  So how do we go about doing that as a company?  Well, number one you have to make sure you have an audience that’s large enough, and the news and content and information that we put out there to the audience is the stuff they want, on a platform and delivery vehicle that they’re looking to receive it on.  And the FM is just one more of those delivery vehicles.”

Plus, McGee says when the local economy is doing well, everyone fares better as a whole.

“The better our local businesses do, the more tax base that our community has to work with, which helps our police, our libraries, the school district and our community as a whole.  Ultimately, if the community is vibrant, we’re going to do well too.”

McGee reminds listeners that AM 1310 KDLS isn’t going anywhere, the content will remain the same and the new FM 99.7 just adds another way to get the local news and information you need in the Raccoon River Valley area.
