They are the 6th best team in Class 1A, according to the Iowa High School Baseball Coaches Association, and through their first 29 games, they had a 23-6 record. The baseball Pythagorean Theorem suggests, however, that the Crusaders might be even better than their record. The formula, which includes runs scored, runs allowed and games played suggests that the Crusaders have played more like a team with a record of 25-4.
