Law enforcement agencies from Greene, Dallas, Guthrie and Union Counties all participated in finding a distraught female that had driven away from Rippey. Her travel was tracked by her cell phone transmissions and was later located by Union County Sheriff’s Deputies near Cromwell Iowa.

The Chief Deputy Sheriff is investigating threats made to an individual in the 400 block of Sand Street in Churdan.

A deputy assisted Grand Junction Rescue with a medical call in the 1000 block of Sandoe Street in Grand Junction.

A deputy was dispatched to the 2400 block of 337th Street for a personal property civil issue.

A deputy was dispatched to a pickup-deer accident on 222nd Street just west of Parkland Avenue. A 2004 Chevrolet pickup being driven by Benjamin Robert Jacobson 21, of Jefferson was westbound on 222nd Street when a deer ran from the south ditch, striking the Jacobson truck. Ben was not injured but his vehicle sustained an estimated $3500 in damages.

Thursday, July 9th

A deputy was advised of criminal mischief in the Seven Hills Park that occurred the previous night.

A deputy investigated a car that was stuck in a timber area in the 500 block of 195th Street. The vehicle was towed to the impound lot in Jefferson.

A deputy provided traffic control on Eaton Avenue near 210th Street while a farm tractor and sprayer were removed from the roadway after experiencing difficulties.

Two Greene County Deputy’s, Greene County Emergency Medical Services personnel, Grand Junction Fire and Rescue and the Jefferson Fire Department all responded to a reported two vehicle accident between a car and a semi-tractor trailer on Highway 30 near S Avenue that was investigated by the Iowa State Patrol. Two persons were transported to the Greene County Medical Center for evaluation of their injuries.

A deputy was dispatched to Grand Junction to investigate the illegal dumping of lumber by the city dump.

In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
