The Dallas County Conservation Board is hosting another special event later this month.
Local historian Rod Stanley will present the Dallas County Ghost Towns program on Sunday, July 26th.
“He’s updated (the program) with more material on the Ghost Towns in Dallas County. We have a number of them that were quite prominent at one time and disappeared, or all but disappeared. So he’s going to talk about those and people enjoy that lecture.”
That’s Museum Curator Pete Malmberg. The free event takes place at the Forest Park Museum at 1:30pm. Attendees will then be able to see the unveiling of the new Waukee History Book and have the chance to purchase a copy and have it signed by Stanley.
Pre-registration is required. To reserve your spot, call 465-3577.
