Coon-Rapids Bayard Softball Star Kelsey Winnett is the only Guthrie County area athlete to be named to an Iowa Girls Athletic Coaching Association’s Class 1A All District Team. The senior led the Crusaders in batting average this year, hitting an impressive .535, while also smashing 4 home runs, knocking in 39 runs and scoring 31 times herself. She’ll be heading to Des Moines in the fall to be a member of Grand View University’s softball team beginning next season.
