A new automobile related event is gaining traction in Greenfield this summer. Main Street and Chamber Director Stacie Hull says ‘Spin the Square’ has been held the last Saturday of the month since May and has produced impressive attendance at both events. The family friendly event features games for kids and an opportunity for anybody to show off their favorite mode of transportation, no matter what it is. “We’re trying to get people to come show off their rides. Whether it be your motorcycle, your antique, your classic car, your bicycle, or, if you’re a walker, it can even be your feet. We want people to come see our square and take a spin around it. Whether it’s cruising around the square in your car or motorcycle or just taking a walk around the square.”
July’s ‘Spin the Square’ event begins at 8 a.m. Saturday in Greenfield. We’ll wrap up our conversation with Hull on Let’s Talk Guthrie County today, about ‘Spin the Square’ and other area events. It airs during the 9 a.m., noon and 5 p.m. hours on K107.9 and www.raccoonvalleyradio.com.
