A Nodaway Valley sophomore has garnered Iowa Girls Coaches Association Class 2A All State softball honors. Ace Pitcher Paige McElfish was named Class 2A Second Team All State. She was highly impressive on the mound this season, striking out 203 batters in 186 innings and yielding an earned run average of 1.95. She helped her cause at the plate, swinging for a solid .344 batting average and knocking the ball over the fence 9 times.
