Two of our local weather reporting stations are wrapping up the month of July with well above normal precipitation totals, but the other fell short by more than half an inch.
According to the National Weather Service, Perry received more rain this week than Jefferson did throughout the whole month. Nearly 6.2 inches fell in Perry since our last report for a total of more than 8.3 inches this July.
Guthrie Center saw even more rain this week with over 6.2 inches and a total of 7.5 inches this month.
Jefferson added. 2.3 inches to their monthly total of just over 4 inches this week.
Normal monthly rainfall totals in the area range between 4.4 and 4.8 inches.
