The Perry Chamber of Commerce invites everyone to another ribbon cutting event later this week.

It takes place Friday at the New Opportunities Community Garden.

Chamber Executive Director Bob Wilson says the goal is to celebrate this new addition and the opportunities it can provide for the community.

“They have six raised beds (behind Crossroads Church).  It’s for community members and they want to make everyone aware of the opportunities.  You can have a plot and really educated people on the importance of healthy produce and healthy food choices.”

The event also aims to say thanks to those who helped make the project possible.

It takes place at 2pm Friday and light refreshments will be served.
